Plus, a first look at the upcoming Wanze x Lost & Found collection.
Welcome back to the Items Series—a deep dive into the wardrobe of friends of the blog.

In today’s letter, I visited Wanze Song at her studio in Toronto to check out what items she’s currently obsessed with, and a look at her upcoming collection with Lost & Found that’s dropping later this week.
Before we dive in, let me properly introduce you to Wanze’s work. Focusing on pattern making is Wanze’s sweet spot, something she has fine tuned through training and experience by working at labels like Kiko Kostadinov.
In 2022, she decided to launch WANZE, a womenswear and menswear label that’s rooted in minimalism while aiming to bring a new luxury feeling to everyday items. She does this by combining high-end fabrics from Japan with her expert level pattern making to create new modern takes on classic garments we all know and love.
Wanze’s collections are available at selection stores like Lost & Found, but if you find yourself in Toronto at the right time, you might just be able to schedule an appointment to visit her studio to try the clothes in person—the best way of doing so is following Wanze on Instagram where she usually announces these appointments.
Later this week Wanze will be showcasing and dropping her exclusive collection with Lost & Found at their store in Toronto between December 4-7. An opening party will be held on December 4th from 7-9pm at the Lost & Found store to celebrate the collection — click here to RSVP… I might just be there.
For now enjoy your first look at the collection below, as well as a few words from Wanze about the collaboration.
“Lost & Found was my very first retailer. They have supported me since the very beginning—before any of it felt real. Over the past seven seasons, they’ve seen me grow, refine my work, and develop my own design language. I feel incredibly fortunate to have built my foundation under their guidance and nurturing.
For this exclusive, we wanted to revisit some of our best-selling styles and reinterpret them in new materials. Many of the pieces draw references from Japanese and European workwear traditions. The fabrics are sourced from Japan and Italy, ranging from dyed raw cotton silk, yarn-dyed cotton, and cotton wool herringbone to washed cotton linen and super 120s worsted wool.” — Wanze Song
The WANZE + Lost & Found collection drops online on December 5th on the Lost and Found website and the WANZE website.
I’ve known Wanze for a while now and she always looks chic. Whether that’s at her studio or running into her on the streets of Paris during fashion week, she always has something on that has me asking for more details. So, it was a no brainer to ask her to share what items she’s currently obsessed with in her closet.
Below are the items that she can’t stop wearing right now. Words by Wanze.
Accessories that will elevate your life
One of the few greatest things about the cold weather is the chance to enhance your daily fits through items like beanies, scarves, and gloves.
A good jacket changes everything
A good jacket is one of the easiest ways to elevate what might feel like a simple outfit to completely new heights. Here are some of my favorite light jackets you can buy right now.
