Once in a while, you get to come across an individual who is as talented as they are a pleasure to be around. Keith Henry is one of those people. With a background rooted in pattern making, photography, and skateboarding, Keith is a man with many talents. But on top of all that, he’s just an extremely funny dude. There’s a reason why he’s one of the most beloved people in the industry—if you have had a chance to meet him then you know his humor and energy is going to make your day.
Right now Keith is focusing his energy towards his denim and clothing label, Henry’s, where he constructs each garment by hand at his studio in Toronto, Canada. Because everything is made one at a time, the collections aren’t massive but they do get the love they deserve, with recent drops selling out in minutes. If you’re lucky you might be able to find an item or two in stores like Neighbour and Lost & Found, but you better act fast because it sells out quick.
What I personally love about Henry’s is that there’s a clear focus on quality, the overall craftsmanship, and just the love that goes into making these garments. In a way, it’s almost better that his stuff is limited because it makes it that much more special.
A few months ago I went down to Toronto to kick it with him at his studio where he showed me an array of amazing stuff he’s currently obsessed with—spoiler, there’s a lot of good stuff, so I had to get him on the blog to show us.
