Read my guide to the best spots to shop in Japan here.
My latest fall footwear report here.
First order of business the moment I landed in Japan this week was to visit one of my favorite brands that makes some of the best quality basics money can buy.
Today I wanted to talk to you about a famous loopwheel t-shirt that costs only around $50 in Japan or about $80 back in North America — an exceptional value once you realize that this tee is basically indestructible.
When it comes to buying the right t-shirt, I look for longevity. I need something that I can wear with ease without having to worry about replacing it for years, and I find that this specific brand is one of the only ones I’ve found that allows me to wear and wash them over 30 times and have it still look and feel brand new.
To me, that’s exceptional value that’s worth the slightly higher price tag.
Now, I’ve been doing my best to try to keep this brand under wraps as much as possible. I’ve only really shared this information with you and my close friends, but the info is slowly starting to get out.
I’ve been in situations where people with high level of influence ask me what tee I’m wearing, which I willingly share, only to see a post on social media of them in that same shirt a few weeks later.
I’m not against sharing this info with the people I like, but when a lot of eyes are exposed to elite level garments, I start getting paranoid that acquiring said items is going to become harder.
