My Favorite Collabs Of 2022
Taking a look at some of my favorite collaborations of the year!
“Best of the year” lists are always tough for me. While I enjoy reading them, I quickly cringe because I disagree with the picks—this is obviously because of my own personal taste, and ultimately who’s to say that the list created is wrong or right? It doesn’t help that most of these lists never explain why those items were chosen, making it feel that the hype was the driving force for many of these lists.
One of the SNL’s driving forces is honesty, but opinions change, and things that I might have liked or disliked throughout the year could have a flipped opinion. Because of this, I think I am going to skip out on my own version of “best of the year” and instead use the next year to create a tool or tracking system that will help me consolidate and decide what we can deem as “the best”. With this, I will be able to create an honest list that comes with proper feedback and explanation behind why certain items/collabs were selected—more on this later.
With that all being said, instead of labelling today’s newsletter as “Best of the year” instead I will label it as “Collaborations I enjoyed the most in 2022”— this way, I feel like we aren’t putting anything in a specific box because the collabs I highlight today are just a personal preference based on the vibe and style changes I went through in 2022. The list won’t be a specific number, or have a ranking!
