Alright, let’s talk clothes! Kotn continues to prove itself as a great first choice for anyone looking for easy-to-wear garments that are made well using good quality natural fibres, and are most importantly, actually affordable.
For the FW25 collection, Kotn channels timeless wearability by creating simple yet elegant outerwear that take inspiration from workwear garments and traditional tailoring.
Starting things off, I wanted to talk about my favorite piece from the collection, the A-2 Bomber Jacket. Coming in two colors, the Washed Otter and Washed Black, which has been crafted using a 100% cotton in a washed finish. The jacket is giving a vintage finish that’s soft and broken in that feels is very comfortable the moment you throw this piece on.

Quick overview of the jacket itself: comes with two huge pockets at the front, with another small stash pocket with a button snap on the side of the jacket. There’s also a deep pocket with a zipper that you’ll find on the inside for even more storage.
Double zipper is the key feature, not just in this jacket, but every outerwear piece in this collection which I liked a lot—I always say that a double zipper is a great way to get some extra styling opportunities, which is never a bad thing.
Another big thing I liked about this particular jacket is that it is slightly padded on the inside, giving you some good level of warmth without feeling too bulky or heavy.
Mobility is important to me, and sometimes having a padded jacket takes away from moving around with freedom—something that doesn’t happen with the A-2 Bomber. Instead it feels like I’m wearing a soft blanket overtop my body.

The Malik Wool Jacket is Kotn’s take on everyday tailoring. A great piece for anyone wanting to level-up their everyday look. The Malik comes finished in a light wool material with pinstripe detailing—most important thing I can tell you is that the wool was not itchy!
The cotton lining is very soft on this piece, making this very comfortable to wear just over a t-shirt. I also enjoy how lightweight this jacket is, something you could use as a layer underneath another outerwear piece.
Comes with two good sized pockets at the front which should hold stuff like your phone, keys and wallet with ease. The collar on this is sharp and looks great when zipped all the way up.

The Denim Hooded Jacket is the last piece I got to check out from the collection. It’s Kotn’s take on a classic workwear piece that comes with a hood and a simple chest pocket as well as two open pockets at the front.
Constructed out of a soft denim twill that already feels very broken in, the jacket is lined with a ribbed waffle in cotton for that extra layer of warmth. This one is a bit more oversized in comparison to the other pieces in the collection, so you could either go with your true size for that authentic oversized look like I did, or size down if you want something slightly more cropped.

Overall, I continue to be impressed with Kotn’s clothing. It’s constructed well, uses good quality fabrics, doesn’t have branding, which makes it easy for me to incorporate the pieces to my daily wardrobe, and most importantly, it fits well on body!
At this point I think it’s safe to say that Kotn is a hidden gem when it comes to simple, good quality basics that don’t cost an arm and a leg—especially when we consider that the pieces are designed in Canada and made in Egypt or Portugal.
