October Monthly Roundup
Best items of the month, a new potential hat craze on my radar, premium american sportswear from one of LA's best, upcoming releases, and more!
I think it’s time for the monthly round up series to return but in a new kind of way. Before we used to have a Top 10 items of the month, which were decided by the most popular posts on the SNL instagram that month. But over time this series started becoming a bit repetitive so I wanted to take a break to come up with a fresh way for us to continue this series.
While I plan on keeping the best items of the month, it will be shortened to make room for fashion topics, links, and letters that went down that month, new releases and important news you may want to know about, and quick topics that just don’t need their own posts.
FAVORITE ITEMS OF THE MONTH
Adidas Asia continues to flex their design muscles while all of us are forced to watch. Unfortunately getting these long sleeve knits in North America isn’t going to happen, but it looks like Adidas will slowly start expanding these designs to the European market and the rest of the world starting this November.
I’m not sure when the black and blue don’t go together narrative started, but I completely disagree. Do these colors always worth together? No, but with the right shades and execution it looks really good together. A good example of this can be seen in the nylon tracksuit set by Everyone.
Village PM is one of most hype shoe brands of the month. This isn’t the first time we’ve talked about the 1PM on the letter and it certainly won’t be the last. Although primarily a skate shoe, the unique design rooted in hiking that’s built around comfort should be considered as a potential everyday option, even if you don’t skate.
RESTOCK ALERT
Two big shoes are coming back and you need to know about them before it’s too late. They both sold out pretty quick last time, so do what you want with this information.
Up first we have a limited restock on the Mephisto Match by Body of Work dropping this Saturday, November 1st, 10 am EST on the Body of Work website. Go with a full size down and enjoy absolute comfort wrapped with soft Italian suede. To me, this is one of the best shoe drops of the year.
The second restock that’s coming sometime in November is the Artist Shoe by An Irrational Element. A laceless slip-on handmade in Spain in calf leather sitting on some Vibram soles. I mean, it doesn’t get much chicer than that.
EVERYONE IS DRESSING LIKE THOMAS SHELBY
Is the return of the newsboy cap the biggest recession indicator yet or is this next new wave in menswear? I’m not sure yet because we are really early on this, but 18 East seems to be betting on it in their newest Winter ‘25 collection. The hat is incredible though, so this is definitely something worth watching in the coming months.
What are we thinking? Do we hate it or are we down to look like Thomas Shelby this year?
NEW GEAR
I’ve been eying the Loop Bomber from 3sixteen the moment it dropped. The loop closures that were taken from M43 Field Jacket Liners is the big detail for me. Also comes in a black colorway, but I’m gravitating towards that brown.
New shirting also just dropped recently for anyone looking to upgrade their office attire with something a bit more premium in quality.

Lady White Co. is back with a new range of high-end sportswear for us to enjoy. One of Los Angeles’ best is continuing with soft color tones and exceptional fabrics to design comfortable clothing you can wear anywhere.
You can shop their new arrivals on the Lady White Co website here.
