What I wore last week
Breaking down 5 of my recent outfits, featuring a pair of denim I can't stop wearing right now.
I had grabbed a pair of the Station Pants from Haven last year—actually wrote about them in a past Denim Report that you can read about here. I give a full review of the jeans as well as go over what fit is right for you. I love them, but I decided to put them on ice because when I get into selvedge, I really get into it. And at the time, I had other pants I wanted to wear first before abandoning my entire rotation to go full selvedge mode. Fast forward to last week, I had pulled them out of my closet and without thinking, I locked in.
First and foremost, a cheat that I have for anyone looking to break into their selvedge faster—wear them on your upcoming flight. Might seem absurd, but it’s a proven trick to break them in quicker. Plus, a pair of comfortable denim is actually a solid choice on a flight. So that’s exactly what I did and it’s been history ever since that moment. I haven’t been able to take these jeans off. Only after a week of wear, these have already become insanely comfortable to the point where I haven’t wanted to wear other pants.
Below is a breakdown of everything I wore last week. All of the fits are going to be built around the Haven Station Pant as the base, and then we take it from there. I didn’t really plan this newsletter as I just let life’s vibes take charge. In this case I wanted to showcase the versatility you can have with a good pair of denim. Hopefully giving you some personal inspiration with how you can do more with less when picking items from your closet.
