What’s up everyone! Believe it or not, I’ve just started putting away my winter footwear—Montreal is notorious for insanely long winters, just last week it was like negative a thousand degrees with several inches of snow on the ground. Alas, the warmer weather is finally hitting us, but it feels as though I have no exciting shoes to wear.

In today’s letter I’m taking you shopping with me for some new shoes, collaborations that deserve our attention, exclusive release info for the upcoming Hartcopy Adidas BW Army, returning to the classics, and ending the loafer discourse once and for all.

Just some of the great footwear recommendations in today’s letter that will have you ready for spring

CONVERSE + NOAH

Starting spring with bright colors and fun patterns; Converse and Noah just dropped a pair of Chuck 70s that is having the menswear bros foaming at the mouth—I get it though, they’re good and in line with the general interest in menswear right now.

I ended up grabbing a pair of the patchwork highs, which I do like a lot, but now I’m thinking I’ve made a mistake because the plaid lows are infinitely better. Oh well, it’s not the end of the world, but I wouldn’t recommend making the same mistake I did.

These are kind of available all over the place, so if you’re not finding your size make sure to check out a store that you know carries Converse.

Plaids are sold out on the Noah website, but I did find both with various sizes available on Lost & Found here, and for my Europeans they are available at BSTN here.

GOING BACK TO THE CLASSICS

It feels like this year is a good time to dust off models we used to rock years ago. Whether that’s classics from Converse, or even the trusted Vans Authentics are all in play this year.

Although the New Balance 475 came around just a few years ago, it’s still reminiscent of the staple New Balance models that would reign supreme over menswear years prior.

I originally slept on the Auralee 475’s and I regret that deeply, but with the upcoming JJJJound 475 collaboration, I’m starting to feel alive again.

As some of you may already know, I’m big on all black shoes, but the yellows are calling my name. I can’t help it—I got pants in that exact shade of green as styled above, and that’s all the convincing I need to go with that colorway.

The JJJJound + New Balance 475 is releasing next week.

HARTCOPY + ADIDAS BW ARMY

We got exclusive information regarding where to buy the new colors of the Hartcopy + Adidas BW Army that you’ll want to hear about because these flew off the shelves when they dropped their first colorway in 2024.
