It’s finally starting to get chilly, and like every other menswear enthusiast out there, I’m extremely excited to finally start exercising my right to layer. I’ve been sort of holding off on new purchases because I’m planning to do all of my shopping in Japan over the entire month of October.

I’ve been trying my best to remain focused on saving while I wait to damage my financial status overseas. It’s been difficult though because the fall releases are flooding in, making it hard to avoid all the great gear that’s dropping right now.

18 EAST FALL
It’s not fall until 18 East says so. Their newest Fall Maintsays are right around the corner, with their first drop scheduled for this Friday, 11 am EST on September 25th, via the 18 East website.
Until then, we have an exclusive look at what’s coming in the drop this week. This isn’t all of it because the drop is pretty big, but here are some of my favorite items from the new collection.

ARC’TERYX + BEAMS
Once in a while an Arc’teryx collaboration comes across my desk that I can’t ignore — I have a strange relationship with the brand, specifically their rain jackets because everyone has one in their rotation already… However, the new Arc + Beams collab deserves an exception, because it’s great.
At this point the two have had over a dozen collections spanning 25 years, and while not every one resonates with me, the several patchwork jackets they’ve released in the past always hold a special place in my heart.
I don’t know, I’ve always been a sucker for some patchwork and that enjoyment still exists. Plus, one of my favorite North Face Jackets is this vintage ripstop shell in this exact orange — I wish I could show you a photo but as I write this I realize that I haven’t seen that jacket in a long time. Need to find it.
A little special part for this shell is the reference to the Theta AR Jacket from ‘98.
As of right now, the release is set to go live Beams Harajuku on September 25th, which makes me wonder if there’s going to be a global release.
