What to buy this week
Tops inspired by vintage American football jerseys, shorts and tees designed to withstand the hottest days, and more great recommendations!
You’ve probably seen posts about the current weather headed towards Paris for Men’s Fashion Week. Reports of 100 F/38+ C degree days are coming in hot, which is making it very difficult to finalize my own luggage for the week. Alas, nothing much can be done except remain hydrated while wrapping our bodies with the least amount of fabric possible.
In today’s letter: t-shirts, shorts, and tops made with fabrics designed for those hot days. Plus, tops inspired by vintage American football jerseys, footwear for that special occasion, and a new batch of Japanese cotton long sleeves from one of my favorite brands.
SHORTS
Couple of football inspired shorts from New York based, Scenes just dropped on their site. Simple, affordable. Doesn’t get much better than that. They also have a couple of their past styles available at a discount.
MAXIMUM BREATHABILITY
The Lazy Tee from Stussy might be one of the best go-to options to survive the heat. The thin cotton knit construction makes these some of the thinnest tees I have in my rotation right now. Great breathability and it’s light enough to feel like you’re not wearing anything at all.
I personally love the reverse seams, which gives these a little bit of texture. Each tee was individual dyed, so you get these soft shades that are mainly found in vintage t-shirts. I’d say that they fit more on the relaxed side. No crop cut. Oh, they’re also $50.
