Where to shop and eat in New York
An updated guide to a city with hidden treasures for those with eyes to see.
Welcome back to the city guide series — your one stop for great shopping, restaurants, cafes, bars, and more. Read my city guides for Japan, Paris, Los Angeles, Copenhagen, and more here.
What’s going on everyone. I’m currently in New York seeing a couple of friends, having a few work meetings, and conducting a new interview for the Item Series, but more details on that later.
The city has a lot going on, so writing letters at the same time as I traverse across different areas isn’t as easy when I’m traveling elsewhere. Still, I figured this would be a great time to update our New York City Guide from a few years ago.
I’m writing this at 11:46pm, just 7 hours before this letter goes live, so forgive me for the brief letter this week. I recommend reading the first edition city guide, as it has a lot more in depth breakdowns of some of my favorite spots.
Today’s guide is a paid subscriber exclusive, because I simply want to somewhat gate keep my favorite spots in the city. I have created individual list that you can sync directly to your Google Maps for shopping, books, bars, and restaurants.
In today’s guide I wrote a quick breakdown of my favorite stores for vintage shopping, stores I always hit when I’m here, and must eat food spots. Enjoy
